2012 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog. Here’s an excerpt: 600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 11,000 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 18 years to get […]

Damages

In recent weeks, I’ve decided to transfer my journal that I’ve been writing for years into a Word Doc so that if something happens to me, I can carry on my words of wisdom, my personal experience as a survivor, recovering addict and being a mom, […]

Holiday Blues . . .

Now that Thanksgiving is somewhat over and Christmas is coming up next, I’ve been feeling a bit depressed lately.  This past year have been a blessing and has also made me face some challenges of what’s to come.  I’ve learned who my real friends are and the ones who remain to stay by my side […]

What does Forgiveness truly mean to me?

In recent question of “forgiveness” in a group that I’m involved in was discussed among fellow survivors regarding our abusers, traffickers or those who betrayed us. I wanted to share my personal thoughts on “forgiveness” it is up to you to decide for yourself, but if you’re like me when you hear the word “Forgiveness” […]

Long overdue!

I’m a HUGE Pooh Bear fan!  There’s something so innocent and simple about the cartoon that in my own personal life I long for.  Ok, so it’s been awhile since I’ve shared anything and I can’t remember when was the last time I posted, but I felt that it’s been long overdue and it’s […]

I missed HOBY :(

For those of you who don’t know HOBY it stands for:  Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership and every year around the world and even all over the 50 states in America, HOBY exists.  I love it because I get to empower a young leader to be.  Last year we talked about bullying, yet so many […]

On my way to Cannes, France!!!!

Right now it’s about 11:43 a.m. London, UK time and I’m sitting at the V Bar just charging up my iphone and just thought I’d give you all a glimpse of my European travel.  My sister and I met at the DFW Airport yesterday around 2:30-2:45 p.m. and we didn’t get to board the plane until […]

Misplaced

I don’t know where to begin, but I’ll explain it the best I can.  Since approximately in the late summer of 2011 to the early fall, I’ve had to change contact lenses and I started to have this blinking issue, at that time it wasn’t bad, but it was pretty annoying, then in December I […]

My Weight Watcher’s Viability!!!

I’ve decided to create a special blog about “health”.  I’m no expert or a doctor so you can’t sue me! My sister, Monica is attending graduate school to be a health fitness instructor, so when I told her I was planning to lose weight she gave me somethig to think about so I want to […]

When I speak, I don’t just share my story, what I have to say COULD save your child’s life!

The cat and mouse chase between the good guys verses the bad guys are obvious when shown in the cartoon where children see the bad guys dressed in black, good guys are in hippy colored clothes like ‘Scooby Doo, Rocky & Bullwinkle and Smurfs’ as years went on, more details stories through animation puts in a […]

Red Light District

Red Light District . . . You hear the name and you immediately assume, Candy store just for your sexual appetite, But if I told you the truth behind the music, Neon lights and the dancers performing, Would it still be just a candy store? You feel the vibration of the base as you walk […]

Tears of a Clown

“Everybody wants to see a “Clown”, but nobody wants to understand.” -C. Kim I’m writing this blog specifically for my fellow survivors, because I do understand.  We’ve heard it all before, “If you tell your story, you will save many lives.”  “They want to see your face, because it’s REAL to them.”  And my FAVORITE!  […]

There’s no such thing as “Goodbye” . . .

Until I see you again, there is no such thing as “Goodbye”. I got up this morning around 7:45 a.m. and just laid in my bed staring at that still ceiling fan this morning and realized I’m going home. I remember my intentions to write a daily blog before I came on this trip, but […]
